Winter Texan Discount Day at Gladys Porter Zoo
The Gladys Porter Zoo invites all Rio Grande Valley Winter Texans to “Winter Texan Discount Day” on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. while activities begin at 10:00 a.m. Winter Texans will be able to enter the Zoo at a discounted rate of $4.50, with proof of out-of-state residence.
Free activities, entertainment and refreshments will be available in the special events building from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Museums and other organizations from around the Rio Grande Valley will also be present to offer information and giveaways to visiting Winter Texans. Additionally, the Zoo’s Docent Council will offer a 1 hour walking tour covering the 27-acres of the grounds, beginning at 10:30 a.m. For more information about the Zoo, visit www.gpz.org. |
